2022 and Beyond

Updated: Apr 15

The second annual Laine Business Accelerator cohort has been selected and is underway, with 9 businesses participating this year thanks to a grant from the KeyBank Foundation. The southeast corner office of Laine Place has been dedicated to the Laine Business Accelerator and will serve as the Program Office. The Hub co-working space is in start-up phase, with initial memberships being taken and 6 offices completing renovation on the Sullivan Street side of the business for a private office option and experience for entrepreneurs that have progressed to this point on their journey. Programming and entrepreneurial activity continues at a rapid pace in The Hub space. The remainder of Laine Place is full of tenants, with a mixture of non-profit (Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation, Dream It Do It) and for-profit (Hart & Wagner LLP, 3D Realty, Edward Jones Investments, Union Tea) companies taking advantage of all the renovation work that was completed in the past several years. A strategic plan update to make OBDC the center of the building of the Olean Region Startup Community, the heartbeat of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, is underway and will be completed by the end of 2022.
