What does Olean Business Development do?OBDC helps match up new businesses with the appropriate help based on where the business owner is on their respective entrepreneurial journeys. In addition, OBDC manages the Laine Place Building at 301 N Union Street, including acting as a building manager to the tenants of the building as well as managing the various spaces that are available for use in the building.

Does OBDC give out grants?No. OBDC is not a funding source for startup businesses, though there is opportunity for startup businesses to gain some financial benefit if they are selected to participate in the Laine Business Accelerator each year.

How do I gain access to OBDC’s Boardroom and Lecture Hall?Both spaces are available for rent to the general public for a daily fee, and free to members of the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce. Please contact OBDC’s Business Manager to reserve either of these spaces at 716-701-4009.

How do I gain access to The Hub Coworking Space?The Hub business model is a membership model, with various perks provided for members, who can pay a daily, monthly, or yearly fee for access to the workspace.
